Our Expertise

My training journey began at age 10, when a retired military dog trainer taught me to work a stray dog into full off-leash obedience. Over the next three decades, that foundation grew into importing, training, and titling German Shepherds to BH, SchH1, and SchH2 levels, including work in Germany.

Today, I combine decades of hands-on experience and continued study of canine behavior and training science to help family dogs become calm, capable companions. Based in Atlanta, GA area

Our Training Approach

Puppies are trained through rewards, play, confidence-building, and structured leadership, with heavy emphasis on socialization and environmental exposure during critical developmental stages.

For older dogs needing advanced obedience or behavior modification, I take a balanced, individualized approach grounded in modern training principles and behavior science. My goal is simple: clear communication, trust, and reliable real-world results.

Your Dog Lives in Our Home

Unlike large training facilities, students stay in our home and become part of a structured daily routine. Training extends beyond formal sessions into everyday life, helping dogs build reliable habits in a natural environment.

Students enjoy supervised time in our securely fenced, untreated one-acre yard, with ample opportunities for movement, play, and rest.

Because individualized attention matters, enrollment is intentionally limited to just one or two training dogs at a time. Each dog is cared for with the same consistency, structure, and affection I give my own dogs.

We accept dogs of all ages. For Puppy Board & Train, they should be between 4 and 7 months of age and have completed their full, initial puppy vaccination series (including their final booster) before entering our home-based environment. For Advanced & Behavior Modification program, the most impact can be made at the age of 7 to 14 months. Older dogs are welcome as well.

All dogs must have current Rabies and DHPP vaccinations (1 or 3 year).

Before we officially book a board & train stay, we require an in-person evaluation to assess temperament, motivation, and program fit. The $100 in-person evaluation fee will be credited towards the training program when enrolled.

If you’re unsure what program will be the best fit for you and your puppy, no worries! We will discuss the specifics and benefits of both programs during our required in person evaluation. The $100 evaluation fee will be credited towards the training program when enrolled.

We evaluate every dog on a case-by-case basis during our initial consultation. Because this is home-based program on a private estate rather than a commercial kennel grid, we must ensure the safety of our family. If a dog’s reactivity or anxiety can be safely managed and worked through in our environment, we will design a program for them, however, severe aggression may require a different environment.

To allow your dog to fully bond with the trainer and focus entirely on their new routine, we do not permit in-person visits during the program, as departures can cause undue stress. However, you are never left in the dark. We send regular, detailed photo and video updates showing your dog’s progress, milestones, and daily life on the estate, keeping you connected every step of the way.

Because availability is limited, a 50% deposit is required to reserve your dates, with the balance due at drop-off. Cancellations made at least 7 days before check-in will receive a refund of the deposit minus $100 administrative fee. Deposits become non-refundable within 7 days of arrival. If you must reschedule we ask that you notify us no less than 7 days prior to your check-in date.
